Weekend Getaway: Viva La Mexico!

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend than in the Country it’s known for?! So we thought. Unfortunately they do not celebrate this American Holiday so my friend and I brought the celebration with us! That’s right……We celebrated in Mexico and WOW was it amazing and beautiful. I always hear about everyone going to Cancun and I’ve seen amazing pictures but I wanted something a little different. So, I called up one of my linesisters and we were on our way to Tulum, Mexico.

I’m going to let the pictures speak for this post but a little back story. I did a little research on my way there due to Tulum being about an hour away taking the cheapest route which was the ADO bus. The total cost in pesos for 2 one way was about 483 pesos. About 12 dollars each. I would recommend the super shuttle for $30. (It’s faster).

We stayed at an all inclusive resort that was absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend staying there and I would stay there again. El Dorado seaside Resorts by Karismo. They had a ton of amenities and their food was amazing! The views were amazing as well!

We had a full list of things for our short time there and made sure to do all of them!

first stop: Tulum Mayan ruins

second stop: Cenotes Casa Tortuga Tulum

of course we had to end with a Photoshoot..

But the most rewarding part was the Massages on the beach! 🤗

Overall, this was by far one of my top 5 places to visit again!

NYE 2018: Aruba

Spending New Years in Aruba has by far been one of the best decisions I have made. It was definitely my most expensive trip thus far going at such a high season peak but it was totally worth it. The hotel was one of the best locations I could think of. My friend and I stayed right next to Papimientos restaurant, the #1 restaurant on the Island at Costa Esmeralda Village. It was a great location due to the restaurant having a taxi stand right outside. Not only that but the hotel was only a 10-15 min walk away from the main strip. We stayed on Palm Beach which I would def recommend for anyone who wants amazing food and a never ending night life.

We stayed 4 nights and it went by sooo fast! The first night we got there we went out that night to the famous club everyone recommends. It started off really slow but by the end of the night you could barely walk around without bumping into someone. We left around 2am and was on our way home until we ran into South Beach. I fell in love with this club. It was a nonstop night of dancing in the rain and people having a great time listening to great music. Another great club that I had to go to before I left was the beach party. Luckily New Years fell on a Sunday and that’s the only time the club is popular. We had soooo much fun.

For fun activities I would def recommend ABC Tours and horseback riding. ABC Tours was the best tour guides I have ever had. They had Soo much knowledge on the history of Aruba as well as took us to places that wasn’t even a part of the tour like the California Lighthouse. It was mostly raining but the tour is rain, snow, or shine. But they make it worth it. Also, the horseback riding had the most gorgeous trail and the horses were well trained. The food was amazing and between the shrimp avocado bowl or the red snapper, you will most likely be eating the same meal everyday!

Aruba honestly is the best place to go for an AMAZING fireworks show and beautiful water. It was nonstop fireworks for the entire time we were there but not only that, New Years fireworks show was about a continuous 2 hours long. It was beautiful. Along the island you could see fireworks from every way. One of the best shows I have seen.

Here are a few pics from the trip! Enjoy!

Hope you enjoy!! ❤️

Solo Honeymoon in the Maldives!

So I had finally arrived in the Maldives and I had  left one humid place to the next. I arrived later at night so it was pretty dark out but it was humid never the less. I waited about 45 minutes for the speedboat to come and we were literally on water to head to the hotel for a good hour. My recommendation would be if you have motion sickness, you should probably go for the seaplane. It’s a bit on the pricey side but it would probably be worth it.  I got splashed once or twice but considering the fact I love water I was totally okay. I stayed in an All- Inclusive Resort that I would recommend to ANY and EVERYONE!

MEERU ISLAND RESORT AND SPA!

To sum it all up, The Maldives is nothing short of AMAZING. It was the most at peace place that I have ever been in my life. The atmosphere and vibes from everyone was soo relaxing. (Considering everyone was with their significant other) I was LITERALLY the only solo person there, but the views were something you see on tv. The breeze, music, food, people, everything  had been a dream come true! I’ve never seen water so blue in my life! ❤️ the reflections that I was able to ponder upon being in such a perfect setting encouraged me get so in tune with my thoughts FINALLY! The staff I guess thought it was a great joke to prepare my room for a honeymoon but I can adapt to any situation! 🤗🤗🤗 Here are a few pics of my trip to the Maldives!

Hope you enjoyed the Views like I did! Pictures doesn’t  even give it justice you just have to see it for yourself! 😘😘

Sights to see in Singapore on a short timeline!

Now that I’m finally getting back into work/ school mode, I’m able to stop being lazy and write out my birthday trip and the many sights to see. The first place that I went on my birthday journey was Singapore. Honestly, Singapore was NEVER on my list..like NEVER. I mean I really never looked into it until I started seeing all of these amazing pictures when I was doing my research. I was able to stay here for 4 days and although I don’t recommend staying that long, If you ever get a chance to go, definitely check out some of these places.

Hostel: The Little Red Dot

I must say, the Hostel was really nice and the staff was absolutely phenomenal. I wasn’t a huge fan of staying in a hostel but I said I would give it another shot. I met some amazing people there.

Architecture:

there were Soo many beautiful buildings that I just fell in love with! I was able to walk to every one of them with a little walk from the metro station.

Prices:

$$$ pretty expensive but recommend eating at either their happy hour spots or find a local Market by your hotel.

 People:

Super Nice and friendly. (Although I was photo bombed) 😂😂

Check out the Famous Infinity pool, the man made beaches, botanical gardens, and the Singapore flyer!

I promise you will love it! I did! 🙂

4 Reasons You Should Visit Fiesta!

                  VIVAAAA LA FIESTA

ARRIBA! ARRIBA! ARRIBA! That is the phrase I took away last night after attending one of San Antonio’s famous traditions. It is when the city comes together and celebrate for 10 days straight. This year it fell on April 20-30th!

The streets of the riverwalk were completely filled with people in their colorful accessories representing the traditions of Fiesta. My friend and I started on Main Street and that’s where we got our directions to start from central market and work down from there.

FOOD. Being from California, I Liveeeeee for some Corn in a cup, Carne Asada tacos, or a Juicy Gordita. Living on the east coast and overseas, aunthentic Mexican food is definitely hard to find. Welp, thanks to Fiesta, I was able to get some AMAZINGGGG authentic Mexican food, candy, and drinks!

LIVE MUSIC. There was soo much Live Music from performers on stage, DJ’s playing music on the sides, or just random people on the corner with their boom boxes. It ranged from Country to hip hop to Spanish. There was so much music 🎶 that it was fit for any age and crowd.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. If you’re into Margaritas, beer, wine slushes, or more beer, then you would definitely enjoy Fiesta. The Beer is a little pricey ranging from $3-$6 but when you’re having a good time, who’s really counting! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ the margaritas were premade so in reality it was juice but the wine slushes were AMAZING! Totally worth trying.

DANCING. Now for the best part. I did not expect to be out all night on a Thursday knowing I had to work the next day but it was totally worth it. My friend and I walked down to central Market following the directions we received and we stayed down there the entire time. There was so much food, beverages, and music. Plus the decorations were beautiful. We ended up walking to where we found the DJ and the younger College students. It was suchhhh a good time. The party was outside but it did get extremely hot to the point of sweat rolling down! 😩😩 (AGAIN, totally Worth it). We danced all night to Literally every type of music. The DJ was awesome and the people were definitely lively. Not to mention the Spurs won that night!

Seriously, if you are ever in the San Antonio area during the month of April, you must put on your list to attend some Fiesta activities. Promise you won’t be disappointed! ❤️

8 Places to Visit in Jeju Island, South Korea

My first trip that I went on in Korea was to Jeju Island with a couple of friends. It was an hour flight away from Daegu and VERY INEXPENSIVE in price. The weather wasn’t the best but we stayed in this awesome hotel that had a huge Casino! Here are a few places that I absolutely recommend going to if you ever get a chance!
