Weekend Getaway: Viva La Mexico!

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend than in the Country it’s known for?! So we thought. Unfortunately they do not celebrate this American Holiday so my friend and I brought the celebration with us! That’s right……We celebrated in Mexico and WOW was it amazing and beautiful. I always hear about everyone going to Cancun and I’ve seen amazing pictures but I wanted something a little different. So, I called up one of my linesisters and we were on our way to Tulum, Mexico.

I’m going to let the pictures speak for this post but a little back story. I did a little research on my way there due to Tulum being about an hour away taking the cheapest route which was the ADO bus. The total cost in pesos for 2 one way was about 483 pesos. About 12 dollars each. I would recommend the super shuttle for $30. (It’s faster).

We stayed at an all inclusive resort that was absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend staying there and I would stay there again. El Dorado seaside Resorts by Karismo. They had a ton of amenities and their food was amazing! The views were amazing as well!

We had a full list of things for our short time there and made sure to do all of them!

first stop: Tulum Mayan ruins

second stop: Cenotes Casa Tortuga Tulum

of course we had to end with a Photoshoot..

But the most rewarding part was the Massages on the beach! 🤗

Overall, this was by far one of my top 5 places to visit again!

Live. Love. Travel

Brunching in NY: Sweet Chick “Chicken and waffles”

Ever just want to travel to a location for the food? That’s exactly how I felt when planning a trip to NY and looking at some of the restaurants in the city. For weeks I have been excited to try the most Delicious-looking desserts and restaurants when a Friend and I decided to plan a trip. I had seen a ton of Instagram posts of these delicious brunch spots but this one in particular got my attention. My favorite brunch meal is Chicken and waffles sooo of course I had to try it!

The vibe was really nice and welcoming. A Rustic cabin look with a Brooklyn feel. Relaxed ambiance feel from the staff and a close seating arrangement. Definitely felt the local vibe of Brooklyn but also broke away from the busy city.

Now to the GOOD STUFF! The presentation of food was definitely a plus. The wait was a little long but it was worth it. The food came out looking delicious and neatly placed on the plate. The music was a bit loud but it was mixed playlist which gave it an upbeat social atmosphere. The drinks weren’t the best but that’s not what it’s known for.

It was on the corner of Bedford which is a great location for it. They had a great coffee shop next door if you wanted to wait until it opened up. A lot of surrounding restaurants and cafes in case you come right when it opens which I would recommend. we showed up at 945am with no line but then went at 1005am and it was completely packed with one table left. Luckily we got it! There was also a line outside. #THEWORST

The food was absolutely amazing! The chicken was extremely good. Plus we got cool stickers and post cards! Definitely recommend it!

#Yummmmmmm

NYE 2018: Aruba

Spending New Years in Aruba has by far been one of the best decisions I have made. It was definitely my most expensive trip thus far going at such a high season peak but it was totally worth it. The hotel was one of the best locations I could think of. My friend and I stayed right next to Papimientos restaurant, the #1 restaurant on the Island at Costa Esmeralda Village. It was a great location due to the restaurant having a taxi stand right outside. Not only that but the hotel was only a 10-15 min walk away from the main strip. We stayed on Palm Beach which I would def recommend for anyone who wants amazing food and a never ending night life.

We stayed 4 nights and it went by sooo fast! The first night we got there we went out that night to the famous club everyone recommends. It started off really slow but by the end of the night you could barely walk around without bumping into someone. We left around 2am and was on our way home until we ran into South Beach. I fell in love with this club. It was a nonstop night of dancing in the rain and people having a great time listening to great music. Another great club that I had to go to before I left was the beach party. Luckily New Years fell on a Sunday and that’s the only time the club is popular. We had soooo much fun.

For fun activities I would def recommend ABC Tours and horseback riding. ABC Tours was the best tour guides I have ever had. They had Soo much knowledge on the history of Aruba as well as took us to places that wasn’t even a part of the tour like the California Lighthouse. It was mostly raining but the tour is rain, snow, or shine. But they make it worth it. Also, the horseback riding had the most gorgeous trail and the horses were well trained. The food was amazing and between the shrimp avocado bowl or the red snapper, you will most likely be eating the same meal everyday!

Aruba honestly is the best place to go for an AMAZING fireworks show and beautiful water. It was nonstop fireworks for the entire time we were there but not only that, New Years fireworks show was about a continuous 2 hours long. It was beautiful. Along the island you could see fireworks from every way. One of the best shows I have seen.

Here are a few pics from the trip! Enjoy!

Hope you enjoy!! ❤️

Big 26 in London!

Since moving to Korea I have made a pact to myself to do something big for my birthday. My 25th I spent in Thailand and for my 26th Bday, I was able to spend it in London. I absolutely loved everything about it but most importantly I went for one reason. I am a hugeeeeee Harry Potter Fan. Like a HUGEEEE fan. My close friend was able to meet me there and we had the time of our lives! Here are a few pics to sum up our trip.

Just a few of my favorites: the food, the scenery, the big red buses, the red telephone booths, the people, and the Partying!

This isn’t even half the pics that were taken but all my favorite spots in London! I will definitely have to go back soon! 🙂

#HAPPY TRAVELING!

Thank“FULL” in the Bahamas! Thanksgiving Getaway.

You ever feel like you need to get away? So overwhelmed with life that you would go anywhere? That’s exactly how I have been feeling for the past couple of months. I just needed to get away from the stress, the negativity, the feeling of needing to do and be better. I have wanted to see the swimming Pigs and what other way to spend a vacation then getting on a flight 2.5 hrs away and checking it off your bucket list.

I had no itinerary when I booked this trip or landed. All I knew was that I wanted to get away and see the piggies. When I got to the airport everyone was sooo friendly. I booked my entire stay at the airport with the lady at the information desk for an amazing price. I was able to stay at a hotel downtown Nassau and enjoy all the amazing beaches and restaurants.

I then did the all day trip with 4C’s Exuma Excursions that was recommended by a friend which I highly recommend to you. They were absolutely amazing with their customer service and they took it upon themselves to be my personal photographers. Check out the pics of my trip below!

Recommendations: I did the speed boat trip to Exuma and back from Nassau and it was more time on the boat (9 hours to be exact). If you get sea sick I recommend flying to Exuma then using the company!

Fish Fry is a must visiting Nassau. The food there was absolutely AMAZING! You can definitely feed two with one plate it’s Soo much food and worth every penny. (Try the Snapper fish…I fell in love)

The holiday Inn Express Was literally right downtown Nassau and in walking distance of everything. The perfect place to stay with great prices for 3 Days.

I literally enjoyed every moment of this trip and the pics don’t even justify the views so make sure you visit it for yourself! 💫

HAPPY TRAVELS!

Riding the Wave!

Not having the ability to travel or go out and view the amazing wonders of the world and just enjoy life has been such a downfall moving back to the states! Every day since moving back I have wished to just pick up and go back to a world that was just so stress-free and pressure-less. The pace of being back has just become so fast and easy to make mistakes. To date faster, love faster, age faster, work faster; yet missing all the signs of if we actually enjoy what we are doing or gaining any results. Living life so fast that we are missing what it’s like to actually live and love and be in tune with oneself. Finding qualities in people and things to understand why you enjoy it in the first place or why you know something is not for your own benefit. After really searching within for the past couple of weeks, Life has taught me to just,

                    RIDE THE WAVE!

To literally ride out the waves that I find interest in and not try to move so quickly that the wave engulfs me. To not let the waves I have in my life, whether big or small take advantage of my drive to succeed.  Some of our waves are smaller and it’s simple to ride them out. But for the rest of us, our waves are bigger and stronger that if we are not ready for them, they will wipe us out instantly. If we continue to forget about enjoying the little things and waiting for the next best thing, we will never be satisfied with what we have! Grab your board, pop-up, and take pride in taking the time to understand the wave ahead. #Surfsup!
