10 ways on how to Travel on a 4- Day!  

You ever just want to get away from work but don’t want to burn any leave or spend a lot of money?? Well what if I told you that you can DO BOTH! Yes actually do both! When I started this journey, I took 25 days of leave to do absolutely nothing! And I soo wish I could take them back. Everyone always takes soo many days during a PCS because I mean really, who wants to work? 🤔 Whether you have 3 days of leave or 30 days of leave, There are ways to travel to different places without spending an arm and a leg ANNNDDDDD without using your leave! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽Here are the top 10 ways to travel on a budget without using leave: 

1. Be productive! 

Check out your yearly calendars for all of the 4 days for the year. Pick the dates you want to take a trip and Plan them out accordingly! 

2. Beat the crowd!

Put in a pass for whatever weekend/s you would like to travel! This way you wouldn’t have to charge any leave.

3. Choose your LOCATION! 

 🇬🇾🇮🇳🇮🇲🇯🇵Once you choose a place, download the app Rome2rio. This app will give you all the transportation routes you’ll need to know to get to your location! Whether it’s by train, air, car, or ferry! It has it all! ✈️⛴🚄🚘

4. What do you like?

Go on Trip Advisor and see the top things you want to do, whichever State (or in my case Country) that is closest to you! If you’re into clubbing, sight seeing, restaurants, or entertainment, save all of them on the App! YOU’ll come back to it later! 

5. Rest easy! 

Once you choose your place, download apps such as AirBnb, hotels.com, trip advisor, and my all time FAVORITE Agoda!!!!! (The best deals). Look for hotels that serve breakfast! (That’s a penny saver in itself). 

6. Now to plan your trip!

Remember those top things you wanted to do? Let’s go back to trip advisor and prioritize the must do’s and the if I have time to do things! For the must do’s, check to see the cost of entrance, if they have any deals, or check the web! (Look at the freebies) Do they have any tours? Make sure to ask all the questions! ‼️‼️‼️‼️

7. How to get around! 

Find your transportation route to all these places! Do they have a subway? Trolley? Train? Bus? Taxi? Set aside money to get around from one location to another IF driving is not a factor for you. 🚗🚕🚲🚃🚞

8. Set an Itinerary!

This is the most important step! When traveling on 4 days, there’s no time to waste, it’s sleepless nights and early mornings! Start your day SUPER early to make time to see all the thing you want. I mean we are in the military! You want to see everything right? Trip Advisor has AWESOME Advice and Forums catered to whatever you may need! (Saved my life plenty of times 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽‼️‼️) 

9. Packing… 

This is very important because who doesn’t like buying new things? However, packing light is a must! Just In case you want to travel to a different district or city, you can take all your belongings with you without feeling overloaded and too much luggage is a hassle!

10. Fun Fun Fun! 

And last but not least, have fun! Take pics! And just enjoy some of the beautiful views that are in store! Check out the shopping on your down time but look for those places you get the best bang for your buck! Such as trinkets in markets or corner stores! Since starting my journey, These are the top 10 things that started me on my way! The resources that are out there are AMAZING! Can’t wait to hear if this worked for you. I can proudly say with using the tools I gave you, I have been able to travel for less that 500 dollars for every trip! It’s a lot of work but soooo worth it! 🤗🤗
